 Full Description:
ONET is the US Department of Labor's online Occupational Information Network. It is an interactive database that currently allows you to explore many different careers. Soon it will provide skills-assessment tools to help identify job-related strengths and areas needing improvement. There are 956 jobs searchable by title or keyword. You can view characteristics of certain jobs and their requirements.

There is the Interest Profiler that measures six types of occupational interest: realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising and conventional. By the end of this year there will be the Ability Profiler which identifies personal strengths and jobs associated with those strengths. It measures nine essential job-related abilities: verbal ability, arithmetic reasoning and computation, spatial ability, form and clerical perception, motor coordination, and manual and finger dexterity. You will be able to download score reports and master lists of jobs.
