 Full Description: 
The Arc's Center for Future Planning is a website that supports families through the person-centered planning process by offering practical information on areas such as sorting out finances, personal decisions, housing and other person-centered planning areas. The website is also targeted to professionals and persons with disabilities.

Click on the "Web Links" tab above to go to the website, the content is organized under these titles:

-What is Future Planning? - This single web page is "Futures Planning 101" for those unfamiliar with futures planning.

-Not sure where to start? - Here there are separate pages to help persons prepare based on their role in the focus person's life. For example, there is a page that provides advice for siblings about what to expect, and how to prepare for a futures planning process. There are also pages for people with disabilities (written in complex language), parents, friends, and professionals.

-Get Started! - Here there are pages that lay out many options to consider when making a person's future plan. The pages are organized into six different life areas. For example, there is a page explaining several ways people can be supported to have a job and make money. The other pages cover topics such as options for housing, for leisure and maintaining a social network, as well as for recording the futures plan in a letter of intent.
