In many states, there are problems in providing supports right away to all persons who need them. As a result, many individuals have been waitlisted services. In addition, it is difficult for some groups of individuals to access services. This department highlights efforts by states and stakeholders to improve access to services by expanding the availability of community services and supports and/or reaching out to underserved populations.
